A Study On The Cultivation Of Ideological And Political Qualities Of Foreign Excellent Legal Talents In Shanghai's Universities

"The key of governing are talents," talents are the important indicator of a country's comprehensive national strength.Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up,China's economy has continued to develop at a rapid rate,so economic exchanges with countries around the world have become more frequent and trade friction has continued one after another.At the same time,with the significant increase of China's international status and influence,the demand for dealing with international affairs and participating in the formulation of international rules has continued to increase,so it is of the utmost importance to cultivate a group of foreign excellent legal talents with good ideological and political quality,broad vision,solid foreign language and legal expertise.“The origin and base of cultivating talents is in the school.” If universities can play a role well in continuously strengthen ideological and political quality of foreign excellent legal talents,this type of talents will have firm political position and lofty ideals and beliefs.This study adheres to the unity of dialectical materialism and historical materialism and the combination of theory and practice.It uses Marxist theory as the guide and draws on political science,philosophy,sociology,law,psychology,and other disciplines,and uses political socialization theory as the analysis tool to research on training the ideological and political quality of foreign excellent legal talents in Shanghai's universities.It mainly involves two major aspects: First,it investigates and analyzes the cultivating status quo of ideological and political quality of foreign excellent legal talents in Shanghai's universities.The survey shows that the overall ideological and political quality of foreign excellent legal talents in Shanghai's universities is in a good state.However,there are still some problems in certain aspects of cultivating ideological and political quality,which need to be highly valued.Second,for the problems found in the investigation,we should be on the basis of current cultivation principle,focus on strengthening political cognition,cultivating political emotions and attaching importance to political practice,and propose ways to further improve the ideological and political quality of foreign excellent legal talents in Shanghai's universities in terms of contents,methods,and carriers of ideological and political education,in order to provide theoretical and practical reference for cultivating ideological and political q quality of foreign excellent legal talents in Shanghai's universities.
