The evaluation of engineering teachers in Colleges and universities is an important means to measure the level of higher engineering education teachers,but also an important way to promote the professional development of Engineering teachers.Since 2016,China has become the formal member of the Washington Agreement,the evaluation standards and international standards of engineering education,how the teachers team construction and guarantee the equivalence,equivalent of engineering personnel training has become the key,therefore establish a set of effective engineering teacher evaluation index system is an important proposition in the current.Based on the perspective of teachers' professional development,this paper focuses on the construction of evaluation index system of engineering teachers in universities.By studying the domestic and foreign literature about the evaluation of university teachers,university teachers and the quality and the ability of the related research results,interviews with teachers and administrators in Colleges of engineering,from the basic quality,teaching,college engineering teachers' scientific research,social services,professional development ability five dimensions to construct the initial evaluation index system framework of University Engineering teacher.On this basis,for the investigation of engineering teachers index important degree view questionnaire variable with Lee,based on the results of questionnaire survey,the reconstruction with the method of factor analysis and index system of statistical index system was constructed,and ultimately the formation of the evaluation index system of university engineering teachers,the system including 5 level indicators,10 indicators in level two and 46 indicators in level three.Finally,this paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions based on the evaluation index system,the application and implementation process of the evaluation of engineering teachers in Colleges and universities.This thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which discusses the problems,the significance of the research,the definition of related concepts,research objectives and research methods.The second chapter briefly introduces the status quo of the research on teacher professional development,teacher evaluation and teacher evaluation index system at home and abroad.The third chapter introduces the theory of teacher professional development and the concept of developmental evaluation,and explains the appropriateness of the theory in this study.Through the combination of expert interviews and literature review,this paper summarizes the framework of evaluation index system of college engineering teachers.In the fourth chapter,the author makes an empirical study on the evaluation index system of college engineering teacher.The fifth chapter puts forward suggestions for the use of the index system and the future research prospects.
