With the advent of the graphics era,cartoon books have become one of the most popular children's outside reading books,enriched the children's art education resources greatly.Art course in Primary school is a compulsory art and culture course in the stage of nine-year compulsory education,which is of great significance to promote students' moral,intellectual,physical and aesthetic improvement.In primary school,The Senior Grades students' art interest decreased,which become a major problem.One of the reasons is great majority teachers have not applied an effective method for cultivating their interests in art in current.From the perspective of children's psychology,the age of 9-12 belongs to middle school-aged,which is the transition from childhood to semi-mature.There was a phenomenon of "low eyes" when painting,resulting in a significant decline in learning interest.In addition,some teachers taught the textbook knowledge and art theory blindly,lacking appropriate guidance,coupled with learning pressure of the main subject,causing their art enthusiasm is lower than the lower grades.Thus,how to improve the interest of senior students in art classes is urgent.The traditional art teaching method can not be applied to every stage of the students.Based on the students' view,this paper combines cartoon books with the art course,to stimulate students' interest as the starting point,for cultivating students' aesthetic taste and improving their feelings.By analyzing and sorting out relevant literature materials,teacher interviews,questionnaires and teaching practice and other research methods,it is useful to study the best combination of painting and art course teaching.The research content of this paper is divided into four blocks,which are the present situation survey of teaching and students' interest,the meaning of the cartoon books blending into the art course teaching,the teaching design and the practice and the conclution.By using the educational materials in the cartoon book,a variety of creative techniques and rich color matching and so on,which will improve the learning interest of the primary school students,as well as form the basic artistic attainments,improve personality,cultivate sentiment.It provides real and effective experience for the advanced art teaching.
