At present,there is still a "gap" in the educational gap between urban and rural areas in China.Fair education and balanced development of education are the educational guiding ideology of our country.In order to narrow the gap between urban and rural education and promote the quality of the population quality and economic development in poverty-stricken areas,China strongly advocates poverty alleviation through education.Education poverty alleviation means improving the education level and quality of poverty-stricken areas and poor people through education,helping poor people master the knowledge and skills for poverty alleviation,and raising the scientific and cultural quality of the poor,promoting local economic and social development,and ultimately reach the goal of poverty reduction and out of poverty.China has achieved great achievements in poverty alleviation through education.However,there are still faced with some problems in the practice of poverty alleviation in today’s poverty-stricken areas.Problems that exist at the micro level of schools,teachers,and students directly affect the effectiveness of education poverty alleviation.How to better promote poverty alleviation through education? Here,we can seek wisdom from the long river of educational history to promote the practice of poverty alleviation through education.China’s famous educator Mr.Tao Xingzhi formed a series of rural education ideas in the practice of rural education in China.Under the guidance of rural education thoughts of "the life is the education","the society is the school",and "combination of teaching,learning and practing",a large number of outstanding talents have been cultivated in impoverished and backward villages,which has promoted the transformation and development of rural society.This article first analyzes and discusses the background and main content of Tao Xingzhi’s rural education thoughts.Secondly,based on the analysis of policy texts on education poverty alleviation related and related research results,we summarize the current problems in education poverty alleviation in China and explore the wisdom of Tao Xingzhi’s rural education in poverty alleviation.This article focuses on five aspects of Tao Xingzhi’s rural education thoughts for the five aspects’ enlightenment of poverty alleviation through education.The first is to return to the educational concept of “serving the countryside and returning to life”;the second is to recast the educational goal of “precise poverty alleviation and individual differences”.The third is to reconstruct the educational content of " will and intelligence helped together";the fourth is to rebuild the educatonal methods of "according to local conditions and teach students according to their aptitude";and the fifth is to reshape the educational wisdom of "striving to avoid weaknesses and overcome difficulties". |
