Research On The Training Paths Of Excellent Primary School Teachers

In order to promote the development of education in China,cultivate top creative talents and learn from developed countries,the Ministry of Education of the PRC issued "the Suggestions on the Plans to Train Excellent Teachers" in August 2014.The suggestions say we should train lots of excellent teachers with high morality,solid professional foundation,outstanding teaching ability and self-development ability.And excellent primary school teachers are important parts of excellent teachers.Compared with other teachers,excellent primary school teachers play a more important part in individual development and social progress.The reasons are as follows.For individuals,the primary stage is the key period.The education of primary stage will have a great effect on pupils’ learning habits,learning quality,learning methods,basic knowledge.At the same time,it will shape outlook on life,sense of worth and world outlook of pupils.For society,pupils are the futures of China and the hope of the Nation.In a word,excellent primary school education plays a very important part in individual development and social progress.And the excellent primary school education have to be implemented by excellent primary teachers.Though excellent primary teachers are very important,the training of them in China is still in the early stage.The training is implemented mainly by colleges and universities.There haven’t been many paths of training primary teachers.As a result,our countries haven’t made great progress in training primary teachers.Therefore,this dissertation first illustrates the training paths and revelations of excellent primary school teachers of America,England,Canada and Australia.Then the author analyses the practice and experience of training excellent primary teachers in China by taking three normal universities as an example.On this basis,the author illustrates the should-be qualities and ideal characters of excellent primary school teachers.And at last,the author thinks that it is very necessary to create a " Quaternity" training model of excellent primary school teachers,including governments,universities,primary schools and students from normal universities.
