Since the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy,the rapid development of urbanization and industrialization in China has attracted the rural young workers to earn economic income through going out to work.Young couples usually go out to work together,and their children and parents stayed home.Grandparents become generation-skipping guardians of left-behind children,and the every generation custody has become the main mode of guardianship of left-behind children in rural areas.Literature on the generation-skipping education in left-behind children in China mainly discusses the negative effects,such as the grandparents' doting on their grandchildren,not caring about the inner world of grandchildren,lacking proper education methods,unable to help the grandchildren's academic tasks,having not enough time and energy to care about the grandchildren,etc.On this basis,relevant researchers propose some solutions and suggestions,but these strategies and suggestions lack empirical research,so the effects remain to be verified.On the other hand,the domestic researchers' view of the generation-skipping education in left-behind children is "problem" oriented.There is no affirmation and recognition of the advantages of the generation-skipping education in grandchildren,and these one-sided and negative cognitions prevent left-behind children's grandparents from exerting their own advantages and potential to cope with generation-skipping education tasks.In this paper,20 grandparents of left-behind children in L village of Henan province were interviewed on the family-education in their grandchildren.On basis of understanding the real situation of the grandparents' family-education in left-behind children,the author used the case work method to intervene a grandparent of left-behind children and her family,solving the problem of beat-scolding education.Practice had improved,the case work had good applicability and effectiveness in solving the generation-skipping education problems.The implementation of case services made the client value family-education and reduced the number of beat-scolding education to her grandchildren,the client usedpersuading-education to replace beat-scolding education,the client also learned the skills and methods of communicating and getting along with the grandchildren,and the relationship of the client and her grandchildren is now more harmonious;The client's son and her husband actively participated in caring and educating grandchildren,the burden and the pressure of the client were thus alleviated.The concept of “love and freedom” also helped the client and her family raise grandchildren rightly.The applicability and effectiveness of the case work provide the thoughts and references for the grandparents of left-behind children to solve the generation-skipping education problems.To solve the generation-skipping education problems in rural left-behind children,it's not only the responsibility for the grangdparents to learn about family-education knowledge,update family-education concepts,improve family-education ways,raise family-education quality,it also needs the parents of left-behind children,the left-behind children themselves,the village committee,the school teachers to work together to ensure the rural left-behind children get great family-education.
