Because the market demand entered into the diversified new stage, the survival and development of the manufacturing enterprises in our country faced more serious challenge. However at present, in many enterprises in our country, the production efficiency and economic benefit are low and compared with the first-rate manufacturing enterprises they have the universal problems such as high cost, low efficiency and high resource consumption and so on. Learning and practicing the lean production ways, improving the productivity, reducing waste and enhancing the core competitiveness for the enterprises are the important ways for the enterprises get the favorable position in the market competition.In the paper, the writer took SX manufacturing company as the object to practice the lean production. Started from the idea of value stream from the customers' angle, the writer made the systematic statement for the production operations and logistics process in the enterprise and recognized value-added activity and various kinds of wastes in the whole process. According to the systematic improvement, the writer eliminated the nonvalue-added activities in the process and at last provided the most effective satisfaction for customer demands.In the paper, the writer put forward the ladder-like introduction strategies for lean production, promoted the process from different levels and all sides of dot, line, side and chain and focused on the analysis for the improvement of the "line". Firstly, this paper carried out improvement to the bottleneck point of model production line, equipment changeover time, quality and other process issues in SX company, making the process tend to stable. Then it tried to make the process of model line continuous as much as possible, reduce the isolating process, lower the product inventory, as well as introduce pull system between the disconnected process, and finally reach punctual production.In the design process of future value stream mapping, according to the seven important steps for value stream optimizing, in the paper, the writer divided the process of the model line into three links, made detailed statement for the questions which appeared in every link and laid down effective improvement method for these problems. In the description process for the improvement, the writer took full advantage of the diagrams which were used during the implementation process in SX company to explain the problems with the data and make a comparison and argument for results before and after the implementation. At last, the writer stated the medium-term and long-term plan for lean implementation in SX company. On one side, it maintained the current results and steadied the second stage; on the other hand, it copied the results to the product line breadthwise to make other products learn from the production mode of the high quality productions, which will form the "side improvement" and will make the company march toward the third stage of the lean production.
