Professional manager is the key to help a company to realize scientific management and adapt to the modern development requirements. For state-owned companies, it is necessary to bring in outstanding professional managers to achieve modernization reform. Normative professional manager system is fundamental to attract outstanding professional managers. However, enterprises and academic world lacks clear interpretation of the concept. Thus, this research tries to interpret it deeply based on the definition of professional managers, combing other scholars'understanding.Professional manager system practice refers to the specific measures when implementing professional manager system. At present, academic world lacks integral research about this definition. There are no articles could explain clearly about the relationship between professional manager system and business performance. This article will explore the relationship by empirical analysis and verify whether organizational commitment plays an intermediary role between them.This research puts forward the hypothesis and builds up the model about the relationship among three concecpts by combing the existing literature. Due to the short of mature questionnaire to measure professional manager system practice, this research tries to design a questionnaire itself. Firstly, extract typical terms by combing existing literatures and invite experts to help modify the statement. Then, modify the structure, statement, clearity of the terms based on the results of small sample prediction. At last, the questionnaire is proved to be composed by 8 dimensions and 35 terms. It is proved to own good reliability and validity.This research use muture quentionnaire with good reliabilty and validity to measure organizational commitment and business performance. The samples are the professional managers of Dalian, China senior institute. This research uses statistical tools including SPSS 17.0 and Amos 17.0 and statistical analysis methods including reliability and validity test, correlation analysis, regression analysis to verify this hypothesis and model. Finally, it draws the following conclusions:(1) Professional manager system practice and organazitional commitment are positive related. But different dimensions of Professional manager system practice have different effects on organazitional commitment.(2) Professional manager system practice and business performance are positive related. But different dimensions of professional manager system practice have different effects on business performance.(3) Emotional commitment and continual commitment are positive related with business performance.(4) Organazitional commitment plays a mediation role between professional manager system practice and business performance.(5) Different individual organazitional, such as gender, age and working years and organazitional characteristics, such as position, industry, enterprise scale play regulating effect among professional manager system practice, organazitional commitment and business performance.
