The Research On The Different Regional Effect Of Technological Standardization On Economic Growth

It provides a rare opportunity and challenge in the world arena for China in the face of a new round of global technological revolution and the industrial revolution.Countries around the world are scrambling for talent, capital, market, patents, technical standards,etc.which technical standards are increasingly becoming the commanding heights of international scientific and technological cooperation and market competition.The standard is an important technical basis for survival and development of enterprises, which provides a pass for these enterprises to enter the market, occupy the market,participate in international trade competition.It also plays an important role in promoting technological innovation and economic development in the region.Technology standardization plays an increasingly significant role in promoting economic growth in China.Based on the existing literature discoveries about the technical standardization and economic growth,a large number of scholars have confirmed the economic benefits of technology standardization which explore the mechanism of technical standards on economic growth mostly from the national level and the researches of empirical aspect are also on the national level and the industry level.Based on the research of previous scholars,this paper analyzes the impact of technical standards on economic growth from the regional level which reveals the relationship between technical standards and regional economic growth intuitively and thoroughly from the theoretical and practical level. Further,this paper validates the technical standardization is playing an increasingly prominent contribution through the empirical analysis.Firstly, this paper elaborates the mechanism analysis of the impact of technical standards on economic growth from the theoretical point of view.Then build the model of the relationship between technical standards, technological innovation and economic growth,using the panel data of provinces from 2000 to 2013, this article estimates the different regional effect of technological standardization on economic growth.The result shows that technological standardization has a effect on economic growth,but the effect at the national level is more significant than it at the regional level,the effect plays a more important role in region with higher innovative capacity.Over the long term development trend, the promotion of technological standardization to economic growth is more and more positive.Finally, this paper putsforward relevant policy recommendations about how to promote the rapid and balanced of regional economy through technical standardization according to the theoretical analysis and empirical results.
