With more and more foreign automotive aftermarket service enterprises enter into China market, the competition is increasingly fierce. Lots of automotive aftermarket service companies aim to standardize operation management, improve product quality and service quality, enhance competitiveness by means of establishing quality management system. The establishment of quality management system is a hard and complicated job which has to face various constraint and conflict. A systematic management process and scientific methodology is preferred for supporting. In the process, current and prospective needs should be considered, the failure of quality management such as modularization and documentation problems should be avoided. Project management method could meet all requirements and be applied in every phase of planning, executing, and monitoring to ensure the effectiveness.Base on the practice of applying project management in establishing quality management system of AA automotive aftermarket service company, the thesis summarize the characteristic of the project, the problems during the project, the tools and techniques applied. The project is an integration of four areas, company background and business module of AA company, China automotive aftermarket industry, Quality Management System requirements, and Project Management Body of Knowledge(PMBOK). The further research about scope management, time management, quality management, stakeholder management is presented in the thesis. Enterprise environmental factor is identified during project scope planning. On the premise of no unified quality management standard in China automotive aftermarket, the international IS0 9000 QMS standard, combined with ISO/TS 16949 automotive standard, the laws and regulations of China, product specifications are all identified in the project. The preventive and corrective measures of schedule delay are considered in the process of control schedule to ensure on time delivery. Quality management weakness has been planned to be studied, eliminated, and audited during quality management planning. The project involved all associates of the company, and then lots of stakeholders in wide range are categorized, controlled, and managed by using influence module.Finally, the company successfully established a quality management system with certification. The project is beneficial for company efficiency enhancement, customer satisfaction improvement and the market competitiveness of the enterprise enhancement.
