The most important function of language is to communicate. The base of people's communication is listening and speaking.Speaking is the key to learn language.Generally speaking,language learners practise Chinese in Verbal Chinese Courses.Every class has six students at least.The chance of speaking in class is limited.One-to-one class can give learners more chances to speak Chinese.The purpose of language learners to choose one-to-one class is to learn how to speak Chinese better.One-to-one teaching and class teaching together make parts of Chinese teaching.The teachers who teach Chinese are increasing every year.The deep research of one-to-one Chinese teaching is conducted gradually.One-to-one teaching is a significant kind of course to teach Chinese.This paper is a teaching design about one-to-one oral Chinese.I choose the textbook of the Great Wall Chinese which is developed by Hanban.The passages chosen from the book are at the rank of medium grade. The main characteristic of this book is using of multimedia resources.Language learners can preview before the class.One-to-one Verbal Chinese Courses have been accepted by language learners because of its advantages compared with other languages' curriculum of regular university.I hope this paper can give some useful ideas and suggestions to Chinese teachers and people can learn Chinese using the book.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is teaching design analysis about the text of Will You Marry Me,instructional design is analyzed from teaching object,course,teaching principles,teaching methods and so on.The second part is lesson plan which is the main part of this paper including teaching material,teaching object,teaching content,teaching object,teaching courses and so on.The third part is self-assessment and reflection which summarize the advantages and disadvantages.The last part is conclusion.
