The Relationship Between Online Game Addiction And Personality Traits And Coping Styles Of Junior High School Students

In recent years,with the continuous development of the information technology and the game industry,the network game has become one of the most important Internet applications.However,as a new form of entertainment,online games has a lot of negative influences on adolescent's physical and mental health. All kinds of media report a growing number of online game addition of the adolescents.Online game addiction has become one of the most intractable problems in the education.Based on the domestic and foreign existing research in network game addiction the study examined the junior high school students online game addition by questionnaire, through comparison,correlation analysis, regression analysis etc. data processing method,and preliminarily discussed the relationship between the network game addiction and personality,coping style of junior high school students. Research shows:1. There is a certain proportion in the population of Internet addicts in junior middle school students,but the overall addiction is relatively low,at 6.9%.2. The Internet game addiction tendency of junior middle school students show significant difference in gender,origin,achievement, Whether to live with their parents, but no significant difference in grade.3.The junior middle school students online game addicts and non addicts show significant difference in personality trait of neuroticism,psychoticism,hide level,but no significant difference in extraversion level;solved in the way to deal with the problem,help, fantasy level difference significantly; in patience,retreat,and vent layer surface difference is not significant.4.Junior middle school students network game addiction and neuroticism,psychoticism,fantasy,withdrawal,venting at the 0.01 level is positively associated with,and concealment,and problem solving at the 0.01 level negative correlation and exercise patience,for help in the 0.05 level related,were significantly associated with the inner and outer directed.5. Personality traits of the neurotic level,coping style of problem solving,fantasy layer in the face of online game addiction prediction effect is significant.
