The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of Dr.Yalom model group counseling on the self-concept of students in secondary vocational school.Through open recruitment and interview interviews.screening out20 eligible studentsin a certain vocational school, who were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group received 12 times, a total of 18 hours of psychological intervention, control group did not receive any psychological intervention.The independent variable of this research is Dr.Yalom mode group counseling, the dependent variable is the scores were tested in the Tennessee self-concept scale before and after the experiment. And through the analysis of qualitative material, such as transcripts of the interview content, the group activity process consultation records.the abstract written after the end of each group counseling, feedback feeling of the members of the group and teacher's feedback,interpret the realistic results for more in-depth explanation.At the same time, hope to find out what is the influencing factors of the group members.The following is the research conclusions:Firstly, statistical data showDr.Yalom mode of group counseling has a positive effect on self-concept of students in secondary vocational school.In the experimental group moral-self factor and self-action factor, after the experiment is higher than before the experiment; family-selffactor, self-satisfaction factor and TOT, after the experiment was significantly higher than that of before experiment.Secondly,universality, group cohesionand improve social skills are factors of Dr.Yalommode playing a positive effect on group counseling in this study.
