Chinese idioms have been widely used in spoken and written language.Idiom plays an essential role in Chinese vocabulary system,also an important window for people to understand Chinese history and culture.Meanwhile,for Chinese native speakers,using idioms accurately and properly,to some extant,can represent the user's language skill and cultural standing.However,teaching idioms has always been a difficult point in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and it is also a great challenge for Chinese learner to move forward to a higher language level.Chinese idioms,with long history,and inherited many characteristics of ancient Chinese,thus,many idioms are rich in rhetoric.It is precisely because of the using of these rhetorical,making idioms more expressive and vividly.This kind of idioms,which have different rhetorical devices,have their own characteristics.In teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the teaching methods can be differ from the general vocabulary teaching.Therefore,this paper regards the rhetorical features of idioms as the research object and makes a comparative analysis of the quantity and difficulty of the idioms in the HSK vocabulary syllabus and five sets of HSK6 grade examinations.With the HSK dynamic corpus as the corpus source,briefly classifies the errors of the students in using rhetoric idioms.Then,based on the errors and the data statistical results,putting forward some teaching strategies of Chinese idioms with rhetoric idioms in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The paper will discuss and explain from the following parts:Chapter one is the introduction,illustrates my research background,present condition,research object and methods.Chapter one explains the relationship between idioms and rhetoric,figures of speech and common idioms in detail classification and enumeration.In chapter two,this paper compares and analyzes the HSK vocabulary syllabus and the statistics and classification of the rhetorical features in the five sets of HSK6 examinations.In chapter three,based on the HSK dynamic composition corpus,the paper analyzes the errors of foreign students in the use of rhetorical features,and analyzes the types and causes of errors.And chapter four,discusses the teaching principles of idioms and the teaching methods of different teaching links.The final chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the entire thesis basically.
