This English-Chinese translation material was selected from the chapter eight of Integrating Young Adult Literature Through The Common Core Standards.This chapter,as the core of the book,systematically introduces the significance of the design of each teaching module.The writers design the teaching link from the teacher's point of view and train students to closely link book knowledge with life.It also cultivates their abilities of independence,introspection and unity at the same time.In the part of case analysis,the translator first analyzes the translation methods of technical terms in combination with the concrete sentences in the translated text.Then the translator analyzes the lexical translation from four aspects: the treatment of personal names and book titles,the conversion of parts of speech,the translation of four-character cases and the analysis of context.Finally,the translator analyzes the translation of textual cohesion from the perspective of anaphora and connection.Based on the experience of this translation practice,the translator improves the translation skills and provides strategies and methods for future translation of such texts.
