Analysis Of The Status Quo And Path Of Home Care Services

A series of aging problems go with the acceleration of the population aging speed and the growing in elder population. Considering the current situation of our country, the gap between the facilities for the care service and the amount of the elder with the need of care service, the care service in the old people's home in not the best choice. Therfore, the systems of home-based care service should be perfected to overcome the problems in the elder care brought with the population aging. In this thesis, the classical sociology theories, including the welfare pluralism theory, the ineraction theory, and embedded theory, are firstly studied. Meantimes,the home-based care service in the Mochouhu Subdistrict in Nanjing is taken as the example, to summarize the achievements and deficiencies from the current situation,then it could be concluded that the shortage in the talents, finance, and facilities, the limitation in the current home-based care service, the less attraction in the service center of the community, the situation of "no country for the old to raise" in partial elder account for the current deficiency. By analyzing the successful experience of the advanced countries and areas, such as Japan, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, some suggestions could be concluded to solve the current problems, such as utilizing the leading role of the government to increase the feasibility of home-based care service,promoting the development of the civil organization in the elder care service,expanding the contents of the home-based care service, to promote the development of the home-based care service in our community, and to provide some suggestion for the other area with the similar situation.
