Party Diplomacy From The Perspective Of Global Governance

Globalization has been deepening and broadening since the 1990 s,resulting in the rise of global issues.No country alone can effectively solve global issues which require joint efforts of the international community.Global governance is attracting growing attention of the international community and more and more players have been involved in global governance.In today's world,party politics is the basic way in the political lives of most countries,and political parties are at the center and the leading role of political lives of various countries.With The popularization of party politics and the acceleration of globalization,political parties as a new player involved in the diplomatic field,the resulting political party diplomacy.In the era of globalization,political party diplomacy has increasingly participated in global governance,and playing a more and more important role.An in-depth study of the role of political party diplomacy in global governance helps to deepen the understanding of the unique role of political parties in international politics and international relations,and of global governance itself against the backdrop of party politics.Political party diplomacy is a new diplomatic phenomenon arising from the popularization of party politics and the involvement of political parties as new actors in the field of international politics,and the rise of global governance has created favorable external conditions for political party diplomacy.Political party diplomacy plays an important role in promoting the steady development of state-to-state relations,helping the resolution of global problems,pushing the democratization of international relations,and enhancing the effectiveness of global governance.Of course,the political party diplomacy to participate in the global governance has its limitations due to political party's ideological characteristics,basic functions and the lack of coercive means.In the new historical conditions,the Communist Party of China(hereinafter referred to as CPC)actively carries out political party diplomacy and participates inglobal governance on the basis of safeguarding national interests,disregarding ideological differences in party-to-party contacts and upholding the four principles of the CPC for party-to-party relations(independence,equality,mutual respect,and non-interference in others' internal affairs).Through the way of political dialogue,theoretical discussion,information communication,and human resources development of political parties,the CPC has strengthened exchanges between foreign political parties,pushed the reform of the global governance system,advocated new concepts of global governance,and provided China's solutions of global governance,resulting in good effect.The author adopts the methodology of literature studies and historical studies to review and analyze the theories of global governance and of the practice of political party diplomacy from general studies to special cases and from theories to practices,thus drawing basic conclusions.The introduction elaborates on the reason for selecting the topic,significance of the research and current state of the topic studies,and presents the author's research philosophy,understanding of the significance of the study,and innovative ideas.Chapter I reviews the basic theories on global governance and the emergence of political party diplomacy.Chapter II talks about political party diplomacy in broad practice,and analyzes the main role of political party diplomacy in global governance and main restraints.Chapter III demonstrates the CPC diplomacy and proposes the options for the CPC diplomacy to participate in global governance.Finally draws conclusions of the positioning of political party diplomacy in global governance.
