Since the 1980s, China has started a new historical social transformation by reforming.More than 30 years of rapid development has improved people's living conditions, as well as caused a series of contradictions and problems. A series of social problems arising from social transformation, of course, are reflected in education. One of the more typical problems is the relationship between teachers and students. Compared with the traditional dignity of teacher-student relationship, social transformation has brought democracy, free and equal atmosphere between teachers and students, but the social transformation concept of value has also brought a diversified relationship between teachers and students and sometimes triggered a discord relationship and even violent conflict. Incidents that students kill and injury their teachers occurred from time to time, and have caused a widespread concern in the society.These incidents, which are thought-provoking, reflect the relationship between teachers and students. Based on my own working experience and teaching practice in a senior high school, I want to explore the subtle changes in various aspects and the problems existed in the relationship between teachers and students during the period of the social transformation, taking as an example.Through reviewing the related literatures, the author has carried on the summary of the literatures and defined related concepts such as social transformation of China, the relationship between teachers and students and the relationship between teachers and students in senior high school. The author has also summarized the historical evolution of the relationship between teachers and students in our country to provide more evidence and historical reference for the study of the relationship between teachers and students in the current period of social transformation.In order to meet the demands of research, I sent out questionnaires to 60 teachers and 420 students from three senior high schools in X city, interviewed some teachers and students,combined with some of the phenomena observed in my daily teaching process, and integrated with the results of previous studies. As a result, I found out that there are some pleasing aspects of the current high school teacher-student relationship, such as democratic and equal relationship, teachers and students learning from each other, enhancement of self-consciousness awakening and awareness of the law. However, there are also some problems existing: there appears a utilitarian tendency in the relationship between teachers and students, the intimate degree between teachers and students is not high, the conflicts between teachers and students have occurred from time to time and the students' self-consciousness inflates. I have analyzedthe influence of social transformation on the relationship between teachers and students in high school from several aspects, such as economy, politics, culture,science and technology.Education is a systematic project, and the promotion of the quality of education has never been just a matter in the campus, it also needs to take into account many factors inside and outside the education system. Good teacher-student relationship not only requires the joint efforts of the teachers and students, but also needs the support of the national policy, the rationalization of the school governance and the close cooperation of the parents. According to the existing problems and the characteristics of the period of social transformation, I have elaborated how to optimize the present relationship between teachers and students in senior high schools and provided some strategies on seeking the harmony of the relationship from several aspects, such as the social environment, the system construction of the state and school,teachers' self-development and students' self-management and so on.The thesis intends to reconsider the teacher-student relationship in senior high schools and analyze the existing problems from the perspective of social transformation; it also puts forward some methods and ways to construct the harmonious relationship between teachers and students in senior high schools. But as my theory and practice levels are limited, the research on the relationship between teachers and students in senior high schools may not be enough, and it's difficult to fully achieve the desired results. I just hope to promote mutual understanding between teachers and students through my research results, and mainly to provide a thinking angle for high school teachers, administrators and researchers, and not to blindly complain that it is no longer as satisfying as it used to be.
