Historical figures' teaching is a very important part of the middle school history teaching which occupies vital position in the middle school history teaching. Student can deeply understand the important events in the history and more dearly to rationalize the structure of the historical development.Students can set up the correct life goals and choose the life which is suit oneself and conductive to the development of society by learning historical figures.The article is devided into five parts, each part of contents is briefly introduced as follows:The first part is introduction.which is mainly discussed the background and the significance of the topic. It also combs the study of the historical figures' teaching both at home and abroad briefly. In this way, we can easily understand the development and changes of the historical figures' teaching.The second part defined the conceptions of the historical figures' teaching. It also analysed the theoretical basis of the historical figures' teaching from the Humanist Learning theory,the Multiple Intelligences theory and the Social Learning theory.The third part expound the importance of the historical figures' teaching from arousing the students' interest in studying history, developing the students' ability of history subject and patriotic feeling, cultivating the students' healthy personality.The forth part is the principle of the historical figures' teaching,they are the principle of scientificity,thoughtful,vitality,heuristic and representativeness.The fifth part is the key of the paper,it expound the implementation strategy of the historical figures' teaching. it enumerates the method of the historical figures' teaching that is ofen used by historical teacher. At last,it provides many history activity course to complement the historical figures' teaching.
