| As a new educational technology, the interactive whiteboard combines the advantages of traditional and modern multimedia technology. Computer-assisted instruction and blackboard teaching functions have been effectively combined to construct a new classroom teaching environment which is similar to the traditional pattern of “chalk+blackboard”. This technology particularly has a great impact on the mathematics teaching in junior high school for which it provides a stronger information platform of communication.The writer suggests that to combine the interactive whiteboard and mathematics teaching effectively in junior high school can reflect the students-centered teaching object and the advantages of interactive whiteboard teaching. The interactive white board has been the best information platform to make the traditional complementary to modern education. However, when it refers to the practice of this technology, many teachers are found still staying at the period of doing technology researches while the effective application of it is rare which are specifically embodied in several aspects.First, the system plan and construction of subject teaching resource are not perfect.Second, the teachers are lack of recognition of functions of interactive whiteboard who can only use the power point while the real application of interactive whiteboard is not available. Third, teachers have not changed their ideas on teaching who still hold traditional cramming education pattern.Through research methods of literature studying, actions studying, as well as questionnaires studying, this paper has found that the interactive whiteboard is easy for teachers to use due to its unique powerful teaching resources function and integrative function. Meanwhile, its interactive function makes students actively participate in every part of classroom activities. Also, its powerful presentation capabilities help teachers create lively classroom teaching situation to optimize the efficiency of classroom instruction thereby students can transfer abstract mathematical problems intospecific problems easier to solve. Student's interests in mathematics studying will be stimulated so that they will be more concentrated on classroom teaching Recently, the researches on the interactive whiteboard become more and more yet not many are about the specific application on subject teaching. Hence the studies on the effective application of interactive whiteboard in junior high school teaching can not only promote the integrative research and development of the subject of mathematics and information technology but also enable this technology to play vital role in mathematics teaching. What's more, the teaching methods and the efficiency of classroom teaching will be optimized and improved. |
