Historical picture, as one of the carrier of the development of human civilization, has a vital role in the high school teaching. It can preferably help students to understand the historical knowledge, improve the ability to learn history, develop the concept of history comes from life, feel rich and diverse historical charm. However, there are a lot of subjective and objective problems in the current high school teaching. So, It is urgent to improve the skills of using historical pictures in the high school. Thus, this paper will take" Chengcheng Middle School "as an example, studying the application of historical pictures in high school history teaching, finding the problems, exploring the reasons, and putting forward the corresponding improvement measures.The paper mainly adopts the methods of Questionnaire analysis. Presupposing problems may be exiting on the basis of reading lots of related literature, designing and distributing questionnaires from two aspects of students and teachers. According to the data from the questionnaire, analyze the basic conditions of teachers choosing and using historical pictures and students understanding the historical pictures in high school, so then, finding the problems, exploring the causes, and putting forward the corresponding improvement measures.This paper is divided into four parts:The introduction mainly deals with reasons for title, current research situations at home and abroad a, methods of study.The first chapter is mainly about the definition of historical picture. Content Include the definition, classification, characteristics of historical pictures, and the relationship between historical pictures and middle school's history teaching.The second chapter is mainly analyzing related questionnaire. Firstly, introduce relevant information of the object of "Chengcheng Middle Schools" in this study. Secondly, introduce the design intention, the issuing process and the data analysis method of the questionnaire. Finally, according to the survey data, explore the current situation and shortcomings of historical pictures in current high school history teaching from the two aspects of students and teachers, and explore the formation reasons for this situation.The third chapter is mainly according to the investigation results, combining subjective and objective reasons, putting forward corresponding improvement measures from three aspects of school, teachers and students, hoping can help teacher to improve their skills of using historical pictures in daily teaching.
