American universities' teachers'teaching evaluation started early so its development progress is perfect. It passed a long history and finally established. American universities have established a set of teachers' teaching evaluation which is perfect,diversity, high efficiency,and full of operability. The effect of the development of higher education in the United States is great all over the world, many countries are tend to learn and draw lessons from the United States in developing their own higher education. With the implementation process of the popularization of higher education stage, teaching is more and more important. In universities' teaching work, undergraduates' teaching work is the most basic and the most important. Teaching is one of the important way for teachers to do talent training, also the central task of teachers' work. The quality of teaching level affects the level of the universities, also restrict the results and quality of personnel training.Obviously,it's benefit for us to study and draw lessons from the advanced experience of the excellent universities in the development of the teachers' teaching evaluation. This is the reason why the author chose an American university as the research object.This paper take teachers' teaching evaluation of F university in the United States and G university in China as the research object, based on the perspective of comparative study, using literature research,comparative research and case study.Include following aspects:of the specific details, the main characteristics, the commonness and differences of the two universities in teachers' teaching evaluation, reasoning analysis and study,then based on perfecting teachers' teaching evaluation and teaching quality in universities,puts forward the suggestions on promote and enlightenment the improvement of the teachers' teaching evaluation in China.First of all, the thesis introduces the teachers' teaching evaluation of the two universities in detail. Including introduction, evaluation institution,the internal management organizations, evaluation contents, evaluation methods and process, feedback and using of the evaluation results. F university teachers teaching evaluation methods mainly include peer evaluation, student assessment, teachers' self assessment, director evaluation these four ways; The management organizations of the teachers' teaching evaluation mainly include teacher' affairs office, teachers' committee, the academic affairs department. Chinese G university' teachers' teaching evaluation methods mainly include student assessment and teaching supervision; Management authority of the teachers teaching evaluation mainly are office of teaching affairs and teaching supervision committee.F university' teachers' teaching evaluation is very comprehensive, the methods are flexible, and the evaluation results are timely feedback and use it efficiently; But the evaluation can be influenced by many factors, there are some drawbacks.G university' teachers' teaching evaluation given priority to the teaching and with modular indicators; Main problems are imperfect monitoring, evaluation methods are single, contents are not comprehensive; Evaluation of the subjects and objects is not enough diversity; student's main status are not highlighted; Evaluation result feedback is not timely and used fully.Secondly, the thesis from the different perspective study the teachers' teaching evaluation of the two universities with comparison and the different dimensions. Summarizes main characteristics and problems of the two universities' teachers' teaching evaluation, through the management authority of the evaluation, evaluation institution,evaluation content, evaluation method, and the feedback of the evaluation results and utilization analysis the commonness and differences of the two, finally from two aspects of the internal cause and external cause analysis and study these commonalities and differences.Finally, the author through the previous comparative analysis research, from perfect the teachers' teaching evaluation, the operation process,evaluation content, etc, puts forward the suggestions for universities in our country reform and improve the measures in teachers' teaching evaluation.First is the scientific evaluation concept is the starting point of perfecting evaluation; The second is follow the law of education development and evaluation is the basic requirements to perfect the evaluation; Three is the reasonable management institutions of teaching evaluation is important guarantee to perfect the evaluation.And then through the improvement of the teachers' teaching evaluation to promote the raise of teaching quality in universities, also promoted the development of the education level of ascension in universities, can exert its functions of teaching in universities better.
