In recent years, Weibo and WeChat have led to a "micro" trend. On such a basis, the micro course, a network curriculum resource, which is based on video as the main form of expression, time-consuming,with small capacity, and in a few minutes concentrating to elaborate one knowledge point. It meets the need of people who can study anytime and anywhere. Since 2010, it has become a hot spot of research.At present, the theory about the micro courses is not systematic, and even there is no agreed definition on the concept. Also, there is few research on the combination of micro course and biology teaching research in middle school. Therefore, the author intends to set out from biology teaching to study the development and application of micro biology course, and the purpose is to lay a foundation for the micro courses in promoting middle school biology teaching.In this article, the author applies the literature study method to present the concept, characteristics, classification, design and production methods of micro courses. Adopting the case method existing in the network biology course to conduct case analysis, the author clarifies the present development situation of micro biology course. With the application of the education action research method, the author tries to develop a series of micro courses on photosynthesis, and put them into teaching and then gets the feedback. In the whole process of development and application of micro course, the interview method is adopted to obtain the opinions and suggestions from students, colleagues, and expert teachers. In this study, the author's main work and conclusions are as follows:(1) Through the analysis on photosynthesis micro curriculum resources of Khan Academy, Huashi MOOC and Weike internet, the author finds some problems. Based on those problems, the author puts forward some suggestions on the development of micro courses.(2) Based on the characteristics of biology to build the curriculum design process.(3) Summarizes the PPT record the screen and make two ways to make micro course of process and the specific operation.(4) According to the design process and production methods to developed 10 photosynthesis micro courses.(5) During the period of internship, the author developed three micro courses, and conduct the application practice a practice in a class, through adopting the of behavior observation and questionnaire survey students methods, the author puts forward suggestions on development and application of the micro biology course.
