An Analysis Of The Attitudes Of Mathematics Learning In High School Sports Specialty Students

In the early 1980's,an authority of the former Soviet Union in Sport training,Matveyev, who was a specialist in sports training, once pointed out in the world sport meeting:" The athletes' future performance in sports will not be depended on maximizing their physical fitness and function, but on the intelligence of athletes. The modern sport training emphasizes on intelligence training, which is the basis of sports training for both sides-- -- --the cultural qualities of coaches and athletes.”The author do some research on mathematic learning of sport students in the senior high school. The results showed that 90% of the students' academic results both in class and in grade are between middle and lower levels, around 75% of the sport students think that teachers have discriminated against them,while 90% will care about their teachers' assessments. In addition, sport training consumes sport students so much energy, which often gets them tired and decreases their brain function. As a consequence, their attentions are distracted and their learning efficiency is rather low,which directly affects their grades and makes them have some psychological problems ,such as emotional tension, anxiety, inferiority complex.In reference to a large number of relevant evaluation questionnaires on students'.attitude towards mathematics learning, the author of this article had made a questionnaire specially for sports student in high school to make a survey on their attitudes to mathematics learning . And then the author combined it with their corresponding math grades to make correlation analysis and regression analysis by using SPSS software for data analysis. According to the data analysis, we can give some relevant suggestions . Based on the research, we can stimulate sport students,positive attitudes towards mathematics learning , improve their learning, and cultivate their good ability and literacy in maths.
