Nowadays,we focus on the consequence rather than the process during teaching mathematics,which leads to the cancel of the introduction of a class.It's difficult for students to construct the mental representation of what they learn due to the isolation of mathematics and practical experience.The mathematics curriculum standard for compulsory education(2011 edition)claims that the content of the mathematics curriculum should be based on students' practical experience and enlighten students' thinking and understanding,which requires us to attach importance to the process.There is few practical solution to the requirement of the mathematics curriculum standard for compulsory education although there are rich theories.Aiming at the phenomenon,Lin Fulai,a professor from Taiwan,put forward a view of activity-based module.Based on that,we develop mathematical activity-based teaching in order to construct students' concept of the nature of the knowledge and practical experience,in which the effect of introduction is reflected as well.The contrast in the understanding of the nature of the knowledge,the acquisition of practical experience and the attitude towards mathematics between before and after expiring activity-based teaching.Initially,we collect,sort out and analyze the theory of activity-based teaching and the development of mathematical activities.Then we develop two mathematical activities about one of the methods in factorizing----completing the square and probability from the mathematical textbook of Shanghai edition,which is integrated with the model of OCTL,the fundamental principles in mathematical activity and the theory of designing mathematical activities.The activity of completing the square is a puzzle-based and personal exploration while another activity of the probability is group-competition.Four students are chosen to participate in two activities designed by us.The video and the interview were recorded.We also got the worksheets and test paper.All these materials are summarized and analyzed by us.We mainly draw conclusions as follows,1.Students are interested in activity-based activity.Differently,they are more motivated in group-competition activity than the personal-exploration activity.The accomplishment of the mathematical activity requires students to be equipped with mathematical basis and is independent with students' scores of math.2.Activity-based teaching can help students understand the nature of knowledge,acquire the practical experience.Except that,it also benefit students in heightening the sense of accomplishment and motivation of studying mathematics.At the end of the paper,we makes some expectations of activity-based teaching.Educators can develop some mathematical activities on the basis of activity-based teaching and apply them to teaching...
