Illustrations have close connection with history,painting,media,science and technology in the stage of history evolution,and Chinese textbook illustrations are the product under the exchange of art discipline and the Chinese subject.Although Chinese textbook illustration,as a kind of crossing subject between literature and art,has the responsibility to improve the students' art accomplishment and assist students to understand the text,but Chinese textbook illustration research has always been a blank and the use of Chinese textbook illustrations have been ignored.This paper tries to analyze the present situation of illustrations in PEP Chinese textbook of grade 7 to reveal the problem of the illustrations of Chinese textbook today.Using PEP Chinese textbook of grade 7 to studying the current station of Chinese textbooks is due to the widespread of it.Besides Illustrations quality problems are more and question type more typical,which can provide experience and help for Chinese textbook Illustrations' research.This paper is based on the method of textual analysis,which tries to do deep analysis to object of study and explore the root of the problem through the surface of the problem.The theoretical results of the analysis of the illustration of Chinese textbooks can provide valuable experience for Chinese teaching.This paper did Statistical analysis for 54 illustrations in PEP Chinese textbook of grade 7,from seven dimensions:the organizational form,position,abstract level,degree of integrity,the function and the content length.Good textbook illustrations can inspire interest in reading,explain the text,help students to understand the text deeply.This paper analyzes the artistic value of Chinese textbook illustration from three dimensions:Appreciation method,Evaluation standard and Aesthetic concepts.The Author think that the aesthetic feeling of Chinese textbook illustrations come from many aspects,such as the beauty of the line,the beauty of the shape,the beauty of color and the beauty of motion.This paper analyzes the problem type of PEP Chinese textbook illustration from six aspects:the title of the illustration,the artistic of illustration,the artistic of the line painting,the printing problem,the graphic analysis and the decorative analysis and tries to explore the causes of the problems.I think that the reason has two aspects:subjective and objective reasons.Subjective reasons include the limitation of the textbook layout and objective reasons mainly include the improper understanding of the text,ignoring the aesthetic function of the illustration,ignoring the processing of the relationship between the pictures and the text.As for the current problems of the Chinese text illustration,I try to give advices to make contribution to improve the quality of text illustration.The author thinks firstly that the drawing of Chinese textbook illustration in middle school must basic on the understanding the text accurately and you need guarantee the science and accuracy of the illustration.Secondly,he drawing of Chinese textbook illustration in middle school need to take a variety of art forms,and under the modern digital media technology,we can draw pictures in two ways:traditional hand-drawing and digital software.Besides,we can improve the art of illustration by enriching the artistic conception of the art.Finally,the drawing of textbook illustration of middle school Chinese textbook should pay attention to the integral of illustration and the psychological characteristics of students.
