Based On The Action Research Of Three Non-Chinese American Children's Chinese Teaching Cases In China

In recent years,the researches about Chinese language education to children have increased gradually.However,the existing researches mainly focus on abroad Chinese education for children,while rare on the education in the target language environment.What's more,seldom researches study the Chinese education for children in the target language environment with specific cases.This thesis takes the author,who is a novice Chinese language teacher,and three U.S.students in the target language environment as the objects.Conducting a three-month research of observing,recording and rethinking of both teaching and learning from three aspects:the teacher-student relationship,the choice of teaching languages of instruction and the usage of teaching methods.For the purpose to discuss the progress of novice teachers and influence of these items upon teaching process.The first chapter narrated three related backgrounds of the research,including review of the research,design of the research and definitions of the related fields.The second chapter is literature review,which collates researches about Chinese language education to children learners,teacher-student relationship,specifically arranging the teaching languages of instruction and teaching methods in Chinese language education to children.The third,fourth and fifth chapters are about separately the first,second and third stages of teaching.The three chapters have analyzed and solved the problems appeared in teacher-student relationship,teaching languages of instruction and methods,nevertheless,observing and rethinking toward the changes happened among teachers and students are also the processes in the three chapters.The sixth chapter is the conclusion,including the conclusion of this research,researcher's thought of Chinese language education to non-heritage children learners in China,and researcher's studying experience as well as the weakness and prospect of this research.The innovations of this research can be analyzed from three parts:the contents,methods and aspects.For contents,the researcher conducts research about U.S.children who learn Chinese language in China,records all their process of learning in target language environment,and observes teacher's process of teaching and rethinking in details.For methods,the research collects data in details by classroom observation,interview survey and questionnaire survey,then,based on the action research,chronologically analyzes teaching and the problems,at the meantime deeply studies the teacher and students with case study.For aspects,the research conduct demonstration from pedagogy,anthropology and psychology,etc.,which lead the results more convincing.The significance of this research contain two aspects:For teaching,supplementing researches about Chinese language education to Children learners in target language environment,and providing enlightenment to Chinese language education to non-heritage children in China;For development of novice teachers,providing experience for them by explicit reflection of their teaching process.
