| Teachers are the leading force in the development of colleges and universities,bearing not only the The transmission of knowledge but also shouldering the responsibility of cultivating talents,promoting scientific research and pushing the development of the society.High level teachers can promote more funding to attract more outstanding students,leading to the improvement of reputation.So the development of teachers has a direct impact on the development of colleges and Universities,which means exploring the method to give full play to the potential of teachers and promote the professional development of teachers has become the top priority of the development of colleges and universities.The teacher’s professional development needs not only the teacher’s internal transformation,but also external driving forces.Teacher’s promotion system,as a kind of external teacher evaluation mechanism,is the main force to stimulate and promote teacher’s professional development.Therefore,primary attention should be paid on how to establish a reasonable system for the promotion of teachers and promote the professional development of teachers.This paper,based on the professional development of college teachers,aims to know the current status of the college teacher promotion system.The author through interviews and document analysis,get to know the existing problems in University Teachers’ promotion system,analyzes the root cause,and then,based on the view of teacher professional development put forward suggestions and countermeasures on how to improve University Teachers’ promotion system.The full text is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction,mainly explaining the origin of the topic and its significance.We explore the necessity of studying this topic and sort out the relevant research of this topic in both domestic and foreign universities.The ideas and methods of this study are also described in this part.The second part is the first chapter,where the college teacher promotion system-some related terms and theoretical basis is outlined.The contents andcharacteristics of Chinese university promotion system are described in this part.The third part is the second chapter,which investigate the current status of college teachers promotion system,using the method of literature and interview.This part summarizes the root cause for the existing problems in college teachers promotion system-limited promotion places,high pressure,more concerns on research jobs than that of teaching according to promotion standard,heavy quantity low quality,too much longevity things and closely-related units in promotion process,no feedback or corrective regulations when assessments are over.The cause of these problems are also explored at the same time.The fourth part is the third chapter,putting forward suggestions and countermeasures on how to improve college Teacher’s promotion system.Based on the theoretical research and analysis above and the needs of Teachers’ professional development of College Teachers’ promotion system,suggestions and countermeasures are-reasonable settings of job promotion,improvement on teacher professional development platform,emphasizing the importance of both teaching ability and research to guide the balanced development of teacher’s professional,Scientific design evaluation indexes to Promote teachers’ professional development in an all-round way,strengthening the promotion culture construction,to improve teachers’ professional development environment,improvement on promotion evaluation procedures,to arouse teachers’ professional development motivation,reinforcement on teacher training,to improve quality of teachers’ professional development. |
