Each hunman being should be cared and contact with others on account of their social essence and symbiotic existence.There is an eternal value in solicitude especially in education.Without solicitude,the education is like water withou a source,or a tree without the root.Education is a career of persuit of happiness.Caring Theory has the practical significance for the relationship of teacher and student.Nell Noddings is The representative of Caring Theory.She developed the Ethics of Caring,and applied it into the educational field.She found a new moral educational pattern,which is about caring.The essential aim of Caring Education is to realize one's value and the proper attitude to life.It refers to cultivate a man who has the capicity and desire to care others,then she or he is worth being cared by others.Nodding are opposed to the abstract rationalism and attach importance to emotion,relation,otherness,individuality and morality,which is significant to teacher-student relationship.Caring Theory emphasizing relationships make sense of teacher-student relation.As the perspective of Caring Theroy,the essence of teacher-student relation is comprised of interpersonal relation,teaching relation with mutual promotion,ethic and emotional relation.In the perspective of Caring and the essencial trait of teacher-student relation,the caring between them is utilitarian,discontinuous and unidirectional.After analyzing,the causation of caring absence between teacher and student are the teachers' educational ideologies,the system and administration of school education and the personal factors of students and so on.On the basis of Caring Theory and the current situation,we must take steps to improve the status from the aspect of administration and atmosphere of school,above all,the teacher's educational ideologies and their practice in caring is the most crucial factor.Hope the study will make sense and be helpful to improving the teacher-student relation.
