Reading is one of the main ways for human being to acquire knowledge,also an important way to enrich our cultural life and improve the level of aesthetic.Therefore,in Chinese teaching we should not only impart knowledge but also teach students to read,which is an important part,so that the students' Chinese accomplishment and humane accomplishment can be improved.Reading is essentially a process in which students understand,experience and comprehend.Helping students to master learning methods and improving the students' language ability are clearly emphasized in the latest version of "full-time compulsory education Chinese course standard".The development of the Chinese reading teaching,however,is disconnected with the requirements of the current education.It can't keep up with the pace of times.The traditional and conservative method of reading teaching is still dominant.Students lack opportunities of thinking and experience independently.They don't have the effective method that suits themselves,resulting in a decline in interest,the limitation of improvement in reading ability and the ability to learn Chinese.In this situation,Teaching Reading in Chinese with the Help of Annotations(TRCHA)focus on the development of students,combines inheritance and innovation,emerging at a right time.TRCHA are favored by a large number of teachers and scholars.It is carried out in full swing and brings notable results.TRCHA conforms to the human-oriented concept of development,which pays attention to guide students to creatively interpret the text from different angles,and respect and develop students' unique feeling and experience,so that the students really become the master of reading and learning.What's more,TRCHA perfectly combines the teaching method and students' learning method,through which the teachers play the role of guidance and organization,and it also fully mobilizes students' emotional experience and knowledge reserve to engage a profound dialogue with the text,writers,teachers and classmates,as a result of reconstructing the students' cognitive system.TRCHA not only highlights the students' subjective consciousness,activates the atmosphere in class,injects new vitality into the Chinese language teaching class,but also benefits the students in cultivating their personality of reading,building rich world of emotion and personality,which lays foundation for improving students' humanistic quality.There is much application of TRCHA practice,while less theory research and no formed system.In view of this,the author elaborates the concept,theoretical basis and implementation method of TRCHA from the angle of theory,and analyzes it according to his own teaching practice.This paper mainly takes the literature research method,case analysis method,observational method,and historical research method.I've made use of the resources of library and network,gather,integrate and summarize some articles and books related to Chinese reading and writing in middle schools.I also have accumulated rich professional theoretical knowledge to lay solid foundation for my paper writing.In discussing the strategies of TRCHA,the paper quotes lots of teaching cases,combining the literature works in textbook,to prove and practice the feasibility of TRCHA strategies.The article consists of four parts:Part one: It analyzes the problems of Chinese reading teaching that generally exist in middle schools nowadays.For example,textbooks are emphasized while students are overlooked,which caused the absence of humanistic spirit;teachers abuse media in class,which overshadows what is really important;in the process of trying to seek common ground,students are losing their personalities as;being suave is emphasized while being natural is overlooked,which is to attend to trifles and neglect the essentials.And it reveals the necessity of carrying out TRCHA,then teases out the research results and defects of TRCHA in conception,teaching method and application,and finally makes clear the research method and innovation.Part two: It further defines the meaning of Reading,Reading Teaching,Annotation,Reading with the Help of Annotations,Teaching Reading in Chinese with the Help of Annotations(TRCHA),based on a comprehensive analysis and study about those meanings in papers and books.It provides a theoretical support for TRCHA,from constructivism and reception aesthetics.And from the appearance and development process of Reading with the Help of Annotations,it gives powerful and detailed argumentation on feasibility of carrying out TRCHA by combining the concept in current” Chinese Curriculum Standard ”.Then it further discusses the necessity and significance of carrying out TRCHA in current situation,analyzes and summarizes the problems existing in TRCHA.Part three: Starting with the annotations in different text genres(novel,poetry,prose and drama)and different forms of annotations(symbol,text and accumulation),it explores the implementation process of carrying out TRCHA in middle schools from its method and application instruction.Part four: With teaching practical examples,it discusses elaborately the process of TRCHA in the same curricular reading text,TRCHA among different reading texts in a unit and TRCHA between curricular reading text and extracurricular reading text.This paper emphasizes on combining theory with practice.The application and summaryof general teaching theories in teaching practice,the definition of these concepts,such as reading,reading teaching,Annotation,Reading with the Help of Annotations,Teaching Reading in Chinese with the Help of Annotations(TRCHA),the exploration in the theories foundation of TRCHA,and the applied research of TRCHA in practice are all based on the in-depth thinking and experience.The innovation of this paper is the narration about TRCHA in different curricular or extracurricular reading texts and TRCHA in extracurricular books with the combination of self-practice and some relevant teaching cases,which breaks the limitation of TRCHA only used in the same curricular text at present.The author also tries to explore the specific strategies of carrying on TRCHA from different aspects and levels,so that it can provide some inspiration for the new and vigorous teaching reading method.
