General education is an important driving force for improving the quality of Chinese higher education and shaping the character of modern Chinese civilization.Recent studies have demonstrated that qualified teachers are the key to the success of general education. Moreover, management of teachers affect the performance of general education teachers.General education teachers management has important value.On the basis of the relevant literature analysis, the author believes that pay abundant attention of teachers management with great value are crucial for establishing the important identity of general education in colleges; the standardized teacher management can promote the quality of general education; the implementation of general education teacher management is significant for the development of general education teachers and students. Certainly, the management of general education teachers cannot be separated from the scientific management theory, therefore, humanistic management and incentive theory can be applied in the general education teachers management to provide theoretical guidance for the specific management work.The interview investigation method was carried out in this essay.Through the interview of relevant educational staff and 40 general education teachers from four universities in N city, and the results of the related network survey, this essay try to expound viewpoint from four main factors of current teachers' employment, training,assessment and motivation. There are some problems in the management of general education teachers in our country through the interview, such as lack of specific planning, limited achievements on teacher training, lack of pertinence of teacher evaluation and insufficient incentive strength for teachers. Based on the relevant literature and interview analysis, we analyzed the causes of the problem in general education teachers management from three aspects of management environment, the subject of management responsibility and the teachers of general education.To promote the management level of general education teachers in our country.multiple issues are supposed to work out. First, form a virtuous circle with general education philosophy and practice under the support of the government to enhance the status and quality of general education and create a good external environment for management. Second, to achieve double complement for concept and mechanism of general education, it is necessary to establish a people-oriented management philosophy and specialized management institutions. Moreover, colleges need to establish the clear employment standards, strengthen the training, build reasonable evaluation mechanism and improve incentive mechanism for general education teachers with a reasonable planning. Meanwhile the identity of general education teachers was supposed to be agreed, and clarify their responsibility to actively cooperate and participate in the management.General education teacher management is an important part of the practice of general education, teacher management work is not only to mobilize the enthusiasm of general education teachers, but also to improve the current quality of general education, to improve the statue of general education in colleges and universities, to promote the development of general education philosophy and practice.
