Procrastination is common in daily life,especially academic procrastination of students.So the study selected 337 junior high school students as subjects,by consulting the related references about the academic procrastination.In this study,the author used questionnaire method,descriptive statistics,correlation analysis and other traditional methods,aiming to investigate the degree of junior high school students' academic procrastination,and discuss the correlation among perfectionism,depression and academic procrastination,as well as the mediation of depression between perfectionism and academic procrastination.What's more,the author put forward some practical suggestions on how to reduce the academic procrastination by making use of perfectionism and depression.By the analysis of research data,the study drew the following conclusions: Firstly,it is not serious about perfectionism,depression and academic procrastination of junior high school students;and there are not significant differences in the grade,gender and whether is the only child of junior high school students' depression and academic procrastination;however,the difference in grade and gender exist in perfectionism tendency of them.Secondly,positive perfectionism and negative perfectionism of junior high school students are significantly correlated with depression and academic procrastination;what's more,positive perfectionism with academic procrastination,its various dimensions and depression has a significant negative correlation.In addition,on the whole,there is a significant positive correlation between depression and academic procrastination in junior high school students;the levels of depression and depression are significantly correlated with the four dimensions of academic procrastination,at the same time.Thirdly,positive perfectionism has a negative predictive effect on academic procrastination,negative perfectionism and depressive mood have a positive predictive effect on academic procrastination.The most importance is that depression has an significant intermediary effect between negative perfectionism and academic procrastination,and has a significantly complete mediation effect between positive perfectionism and academic procrastination.
