With the development of China's vocational education into the national economic and social developing plan,the government has been supporting the development of the secondary vocational schools,and provides impetus for the development of education in China.With the reform of China's economic system,the market demand for talent has also changed,which forced the secondary vocational schools to carry out teaching reform,and change.the developing directions constantly.The teaching quality and effectiveness of secondary vocational schools haven't reached to the expected standards after the reform.The main reason is that the teachers' incentive mechanism has not been changed after the reform of secondary vocational schools.The number of students has been increasing,and the burden of the teacher is also increasing,but the incentive mechanism for teachers in secondary vocational schools has obvious changes.This situation restricts seriously the exertion of teachers' subjective initiative and the improvement of their work enthusiasm.Therefore,it is urgent to establish a complete incentive mechanism for the teachers in secondary vocational school,to stimulate the enthusiasm of teachers fully.This paper is based on hierarchy of needs theory.Firstly,this paper reviews the current research situation at home and abroad.And then,it combined with the actual working characteristics of the teachers in vocational schools in China to put forward the necessity of teacher-incentive.This paper analyzes the present situation of teachers' resource structure and the incentive mechanism,and then points out the problems existing in the current incentive system.By using documentary method,interview method and questionnaire method,this paper analyzes various hierarchies of needs and the intensity of the needs,and points out the contradiction between the current incentive system and the needs of teachers.On this basis,this paper has formulated the ideas and principles to improve and complete the teacher incentive system of L College.Based on the theory of needs,this paper formulates the strategies to improve the motivation of teachers in L College from three levels:survival needs,relationship needs and development needs.This paper puts forward some constructive and operable incentive countermeasure and suggestions on how to improve the existing incentive mechanism for teachers and build effective incentive measures in actual practice.The study of this paper is helpful to clear the teachers' needs,find the existing problems of the incentive system,and provide decision-basis for making countermeasures of L College.At the same time,it also has some reference value for human resource management of teachers in other vocational schools.
