As an assessment method, observation records is becoming a popular trend in early childhood education field. This thesis is mainly on current situation and historical development of observation records.Research methods including literature method, the thesis took F county's kindergarten teachers' observation records as an example, and made analysis of their current situation. Based on analysis of facts of current situation, applying logic debating and deducting method while reading national and overseas material, from such, researcher combed the clue of observation records' development and how this theory was utilized in early childhood education from different curriculum model, referring to teaching practice, testifying observation records has enlightenment on preschool education. The study is composed of 4 chapters.Chapter 1 applying contents analysis method to describe F county's kindergarten teachers' observation records' content and structure, based on analysis of facts of current situation, analyzed F county's kindergarten teachers' observation records and pointed out the problems, further to investigate the cause behind such phenomenon.Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 based on the causes of the current situation, applying logic debating and deducting method and informal interview method, combing teachers' observation and recording development and further more to illustrate relative theory concerning observation records used in different curriculum model around the world. Comparing to practice facts, analyzed enlightenment of observation records theory in education frontier.Chapter 4 focused on enlightenment and reflection of the study. Through experiment and study, researcher came to draw conclusions: Firstly, early childhood education conducted on the base of kindergarten teachers' observation assessment is the best way to realize the idea of children-centered philosophy. Secondly, learning and absorbing should be balanced by theory and methodology. Thirdly, kindergarten teachers' observation assessment should pursuit an observation of "eye of the ants".
