In recent years, with the rise of research on nature of science in our country,many educational workers focused on how to promote the students' understanding of the nature of science in education. As an important part of science education, biology education also think highly of the research on the nature of science education. Making a comprehensive survey of the research at home and abroad on the nature of science education, we can found that many scholars tried to use different teaching models to promote the development of students' nature of science in practice. Based on the collection and analysis of relevant document, this paper tries to introduce a new teaching model, which is Flipped Classroom, to promote the development of students'nature of science.The thesis took three homogeneous classes of Sichuan province Chengdu Wuhou senior middle school as subjects. class 5 and class 6 are the experimental classes with the flipped classroom teaching model, and class 3 as control class with traditional teaching model. The experiment covers the analysis of single factor and pre-post test.Determined the 3 first-grade indexes and indexes of 11 two class for the nature of science that senior high school students should master on the basis of relevant research. And formulated the detailed content carrier according to the reference index;making questionnaire referring to the VANSK scale, and "understanding of the nature of science" content to do the pre-analysis for the students' nature of science.Integrating the current domestic and foreign flipped classroom teaching model to develop new flipped classroom model which can be put into practice effectively. At last, to do the post-analysis between the experimental group and the control group students to analyze their differences.The results show that both the flipped classroom teaching mode and the traditional teaching mode has increased to a certain extent in the nature of science, but to the traditional teaching, nothing has improved significantly except the temporary nature.Comparing with the traditional teaching,flipped class has got much more scores in the scientific knowledge and scientific spirit , that shows the flipped classroom has played a great role in the development of students' nature of science.
