With the continuous expansions of graduate enrollment in recent years,interdisciplinary postgraduate students have become a common practice.Postgraduate students with interdisciplinary background have also become a part of the special groups in all students.Although with advantages in multidisciplinary background,postgraduate students with interdisciplinary background are different,if compared with non-interdisciplinary students,in terms of knowledge structure,way of thinking and unfamiliarity with the knowledge.Such factors have greater impacts on the learning situation of interdisciplinary background students.Therefore,it is important to understand the learning situation of postgraduates in interdisciplinary background,the root cause of such situation,and to explore the countermeasures and suggestions to improve the learning situation of postgraduates in interdisciplinary background.This is of great theoretical and practical significance to improve the quality of postgraduate education.A regional comprehensive college has been selected as a survey object,with self-compiled postgraduate study status questionnaire as a research tool,Through the questionnaire survey and interviews of postgraduates with interdisciplinary background,this paper analyzes the causes of the status quo of interdisciplinary study,so as to introduced corresponding countermeasures to improve the learning situation of postgraduates with interdisciplinary background.The article first discusses the research background,the research significance,and puts forward the research mentality and the method based on the collation analysis related literature data,Afterwards definitions of some core concepts are made with introductions on the relevant theoretical basis.Analysis on empirical results of the intercultural postgraduate study,interview results and reasons for the study are made.At the end,proposals on improvements on 5 aspects of learning situations are explained: strengthening the construction of interdisciplinary postgraduates,reforming the postgraduate entrance examination,optimizing curriculum,improving evaluation mechanism and improving on training and guidance.
