Incentive measure can stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of employees,and maximize the potential of them.Incentive measure is the important content of human resource management,as it is the guarantee of achieving the organization goal,and an important way to realize the "faculty-oriented management".Through scientific and flexible use of incentive theory,teachers' enthusiasm and creativity can be brought into a full play,and the management level of higher vocational colleges can be improved,which can help the colleges to get better development.JM Vocational College(hereinafter referred to as JM)has a long history.It was one of the first batch of “National Key Technical Schools in Henan Province”,and in2004,it was approved by the Henan Province to be a higher vocational college.Along with its development in recent years,the college is faced with more and more management problems.One of the problems is its incentive mechanism,which has seriously influenced the teachers' working enthusiasm and creativity,and has directly affected the healthy development of the college.This paper focuses on the problems and solutions of teacher motivation in JM.Firstly,it expounds the background,significance and the ideas and methods of the research,and introduces the relevant incentive theories.Secondly,it introduces the current situation of JM and its faculty,and finds out the problems in motivating college teachers through questionnaires and interviews.Finally,it puts forward the measures of motivating teachers in JM,mainly: The “Five Levels of Maslow?s Hierarchy of Needs”,physiological needs,security needs,love and belonging needs,respect needs,self actualization needs,are introduced to help cope with the problems in motivating faculty in JM.The innovation of this paper is to analyze the influence of incentive factors on teachers in JM,and to find out scientific,reasonable and pertinent incentive measures for teachers(including incentive measures for young teachers and contracted teachers)and to provide suggestions for the management of JM.
