The development of school social work in China has been the basic form,reflecting the characteristics of the development of the times and the needs of modern education.In order to achieve the purpose of school education,the social workers should enter into the school environment by means of government purchase and the appointment of the agency.School social workers apply the theory and methods of social work to the school situation,and create a healthy environment for students to develope by connecting the students,parents,schools and communities.At work,school social workers need to play multiple roles,when working ideas and methods of various roles happen to diverge,making school social worker's difficulty in role definition,which let to role conflicts.The role conflict is due to the different professional values,which makes the workers into the ethical dilemma.Through the search and analysis of interviews and related literature on selected 4 school social workers and 1 college counselors of Longgang District in Shenzhen,using the Role Theory and empirical research methods,the paper analyzes the current situation of role conflict and ethical dilemma of school social workers,concludes that school social workers playing role of intimate friend,counselor,connector,partner,mediator,resource developers and advocator,summed up ethical dilemmas arising by role conflict including privacy,acception,independent choice,satisfaction or compromise and obstacles of obeying occupational rules.The paper tries to put forward some suggestions,which can solve the problem of role conflicts and ethical dilemma of school social workers,and promote the development of school social work in China.
