Research On The Ethical Dilemma And Choice In Social Work Practice

Social work is a highly practical major.The value concept of social work plays an important role in the development of social work.Social work always practices the value concept of influencing life with life.Professional value ethics is an important part of social work and the lifeline of social work.In practice,social work ethical dilemma and response is an unavoidable issue for social workers.Social workers,as practitioners of social work ethics,are the subject perceivers,participants and actors of social work ethics issues.Therefore,dealing with ethical problems in social work practice is not only a challenge to social work practitioners,but also a criterion to test their professional competence.Whether social workers can properly deal with the ethical dilemma in practice and make effective and appropriate ethical choices not only has a great impact on the effective development of social work assistance activities,but also guarantees the quality of professional service,thus benefiting the development of the whole social work industry.Ethical dilemma in this research with case study of social work practice and ethical choices as the research subject,starting from the research Angle of view of ethical relativism,through sorting,analysis,the author in the China association of social work for a period of eight months internship case work practice process,refine,sums up the case for psychiatric patients' caregivers service related ethical dilemmas encountered in practice: one is about the dual relationship of ethical dilemma;The second is the conflict between value neutrality and value manipulation.Third,the dilemma between the interests of the client and the social order;The fourth is the conflict between the social work efficiency and the institutional benefit;Fifth,the conflict between the interests of the client and the right of others to know.Based on ethical dilemmas encountered in the previous case work,discusses the forming reasons and social workers in the face of the plight of the research and analysis of the choice of ethics come to the conclusion that social workers in the face of the principle and influence factors behind the ethical choices,to ethical plight of frontline social workers provide constructive reference opinions,finally make contributions to promote development of the industry as a social worker.
