With the development of our country's social economy,a large number of rural young and middle-aged laborers have moved to cities, resulting in the birth of rural left-behind children. As the parents of rural left-behind children go out for a long time, the lack of parent-child education leads to a lower ability to communicate with rural left-behind children, manifesting as introversion, lack of self-confidence,and aggressive behavior, thus affecting the socialization and mental health of rural left-behind children. This article starts from the concept of professional knowledge of social work and selects group work methods to improve peer-to-peer abilities of rural left-behind children.First, using the “Peer Interaction Capacity Scale” to conduct questionnaire surveys and interviews with children in the D Primary School in Ji'an City, the survey found that rural left-behind children have low skills in linguistic and nonverbal communication and peer interaction in peer interaction.Insufficiency, the existence of peer-to-peer emotional disorders, and the lack of prosocial behavior, etc.,and analysis of the causes of the problem.Secondly,we analyze the advantages of group work in rural peers who are involved in improving their ability to communicate with their peers. The group work intervention has the advantages of high homogeneity, clear group goals, and other advantages,so that the use of group work methods can be used to perform peer-to-peer interactions with rural left-behind children.intervention.Then,according to the current situation of the peers' ability to communicate with rural left-behind children, the needs of their peers are estimated,a group work plan is formulated, and 10 rural left-behind children are selected to form a team for improving peer communication skills.Four sub-dimensions of language ability comprehension, mitigation of peer-to-peer interaction barriers, promotion of group member peer-to-peer interaction, and enhancement of pro-social behaviors.6 group activities were conducted to intervene in the improvement of their peers' ability to communicate. Finally, the author rethinks and summarizes the work of the group's involvement in peer-to-peer interactions with rural left-behind children. This paper believes that the use of group work methods can improve the ability of rural left-behind children to interact with peers, and improve the interaction and linguistic and non-verbal communication skills of peers in rural left-behind children.,Elimination of emotional barriers to peer interactions, and the development of pro-social behaviors can improve the ability of rural left-behind children to communicate. The group work has a certain effect in improving the ability of rural left-behind children's peers to improve their ability to communicate, but there are also deficiencies. In response to this, this paper puts forward several suggestions for improving team work to improve the ability of rural left-behind children to communicate with peers,in order to conduct in-depth exchanges with rural left-behind children. The relevant research provides a reference.
