The using of museum resources is quite similar to the educational materials in school,which is the medium to transfer the information to the audience.When we talk about Geography we must consider the regional characteristic and comprehensiveness.It is difficult to achieve ideal teaching effect by learning general textbook.Students' idea of related Geographical concepts will be pale and vague.Due to the comprehensiveness of Geography,there are many topics of Geographical subjects in a huge number of comprehensive museums,professional museums and industry museums.There are many learning resources available for Geography curriculum in school.This paper studies the development of high school Geography curriculum through paper research,visiting on site,investigation and case analysis.Taking the development and implementation of the Shanghai Natural Museum Geography curriculum as an example.And this paper giver us some strategies and suggestions of the design of the Geography curriculum in museum.The main research contents are as follows:(1)the current situation of Museum Geography curriculum in Shanghai School(2)the current situation of Geography curriculum in Shanghai Natural History museum(3)strategies and suggestions for developing the museum Geography curriculum.First of all,through questionnaires and other forms of research,it is found that there are the following problems in the design of Shanghai School Museum:(1)There are very few schools that use museum resources to develop high school Geography curriculum now(2)few schools involved in the development of the museum resources are relatively concentrated,and the numbers of museum based topic are relatively small(3)the reasons failed to develop the resources are no enough time,the no suitable conditions and so on.According to the investigation in this paper and the museum curriculum experience of Shanghai Natural History Museum,it is found that there are great differences between school Geography curriculum and museum based curriculum from curriculum types,teaching contents,teaching methods,teaching objectives,teaching evaluation and so on.The main problems are:(1)the types of courses are relatively limited(2)the different learning level of students is obvious(3)the professionalism of curriculum is weak(4)the curriculum design is not perfect enough.With the development of the the Shanghai Natural History Museum Geography curriculum,author has obtained some experience in the curriculum design,curriculum implementation,curriculum evaluation.And the author conclude that the museum curriculum is not only effective practice of Geography curriculum in school,but also make up the classroom teaching resources.And it will improve teachers' teaching ability of Geography.Moreover it will make up lots of limits in many factors such as lack of interference.In the end,according to the investigation,author puts forward strategies and suggestions for the design of Geography curriculum: explore the advantage of museum Geography curriculum,including curriculum research and Geography,practice and course features and others,in addition to the necessary of further improve the design process of the Museum of Geography curriculum.More attention is needed to the process of evaluation of Geographic museum.Moreover we need to improve the curriculum development and make strong connection between the school curriculum and the museum curriculum.
