The report of the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that we need to take morality and cultivating people as the fundamental task of education, and cultivate socialist builders and successors with comprehensive development of moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic. In order to implement this fundamental task of education, middle school education needs to make corresponding reforms and adjustments: in terms of curriculum,Chinese curriculum development efforts and development channels need to be more and broader;in teaching,it is necessary to shift from teaching to educating people, and try to use real situations Educate students. This requires teachers to expand the sources and channels of curriculum development in the development of curriculum resources, especially in the development of school-based curriculum,so that students can learn geography useful for their life-long development in the large classroom of nature and society. The Natural History Museum is one of the important curriculum resources for the development of school-based geography courses. It contains a large collection of geography-related specimens and contains a variety of intuitive geographical situations. However,in reality, there are few cases of school-based geography curriculum development of natural museums, and related theoretical research is relatively lacking. Therefore, this article takes the natural museum geography school-based curriculum development as a research perspective, using questionnaire survey method, field investigation method, and action research method to quantitatively analyze the current situation and influencing factors of the Chongqing museum geography school-based curriculum development. On this basis,it is based on OECD.The principles and models of school-based curriculum development of natural museum geography are developed, and the strategy of school-based curriculum development of natural museum geography is proposed. Finally,a case study is carried out with Chongqing Natural History Museum as an example. The following conclusions are drawn through research.(1)At present,Chongqing museum geography school-based curriculum development has problems such as low development level, insufficient development motivation of teachers, and large differences in cognition between urban and rural areas. However, some of the developed courses are implemented well, with great student interest and most teachers think museum resources are useful.(2)The teacher is the biggest factor affecting the school-based curriculum development of geography.Teacher's attitude, experience, energy, time and development ability will directly affect the quality of school-based curriculum development and even the ability to develop curriculum.(3)This article puts forward the principles of school-based curriculum development of natural museum geography.Firstly, according to the economic and cultural conditions of the natural museum, measures are taken according to the local conditions and the principles of school-based courses are developed;Secondly, the principle of subjectivity, the school-based curriculum development of natural museum geography must take the school as the development subject;Thirdly, the principle of integrity. When developing school-based courses,we must pay attention to the integrity of the three-level curriculum, and should not be separated from the national and local curriculum plans;Fourth, the principle of open cooperation.During development,it is necessary to adhere to the tripartite cooperation between school and university or scientific research institutes and other institutions, such as curriculum teaching experts, and management personnel in natural museums.(4)Based on the OECD school-based curriculum development program, this paper proposes a school-based curriculum development model for natural museum geography. The model specifically includes seven steps: development team formation, resource investigation, academic analysis, goal formulation, curriculum organization, curriculum implementation, evaluation and revision.(5)This article proposes six strategies to promote the development of school-based curriculum of natural museum geography.First,we need to dig deep into museum curriculum resources;Secondly,we need to combine multiple curriculum implementation methods and add interactive activities;Third,it is necessary to regularly carry out training on the knowledge of museum librarians;Fourth, the government has issued encouraging policies to promote the development of school-based courses;Fifth, the museum will increase its publicity and increase its attractiveness;Sixth, strengthen library-school cooperation and improve development efficiency. In short, the development of geography school-based curriculum based on the Natural History Museum is of great value for the construction of a curriculum that meets the needs of schools and students, and improves the efficiency and quality of the use of social curriculum resources by schools.
