In this paper,through the study of Chinese textbooks for high school about"PEP" and "Su Jiaoban”,to explore the practical texts election and compilation in two version of Chinese teaching materials.In the modern society,the practical texts are used by modern citizens in life and work.In middle school Chinese teaching,the study of practical texts is not only helpful to help students adapt to society better,it is important to cultivate all-round reading ability and Chinese core literacy.Read to the number and proportion,style and content,source and change,distribution and arrangement of practical texts,the study found the following three characteristics: the number and proportion is not high;the choice of texts with partial tendency of literary;the content of the text involves all aspects of human society and events.But the term of texts is narrow;the reflection of the present real life is limited;the arrangement of the selection presents a single line logic sequence.Accordingly,this paper puts forward the selection principles and optimization suggestions.The selection principle is "both practical and artistic" and the "length and format should be careful".The optimization suggestion is " the variety should be richer and more diverse","Content should reflect the spirit of the times" and "distribution can be more balanced,or even progressive".With the introduction of the Chinese Curriculum Standard for General Senior High School(2017 Edition),the revision of Chinese textbooks in senior high school is ready.This paper hopes to analyze the characteristics of the selection and compilation of the practical texts in the two sets of Chinese compulsory textbooks of senior high school.The editors,teachers and students should re-examine the value of practical texts.
