The geography curriculum standard for compulsory education(2011 Edition)defines local geography as one of the four contents of junior middle school geography curriculum,highlighting the important position of local geography in junior middle school geography teaching.The opinions on deepening education and teaching reform and comprehensively improving the quality of compulsory education issued by the State Council in 2019 also emphasizes the importance of practical education and the need to strengthen the cultivation of patriotism.Local geography curriculum resources are one of the best ways for students to learn geography.In addition,Xingyi City,Guizhou Province has rich natural and human resources.Studying the application of local geography curriculum resources can promote the development of geography teaching in Xingyi City,enable students to have a deeper perceptual cognition of their hometown,cultivate students' feelings of home and country,and improve students' geographical thinking ability.Firstly,this topic is put forward under the background of curriculum reform and deepening education and teaching reform,the great significance of local geography curriculum resources in teaching,and the low attention paid to geography in junior middle school.After consulting the relevant literature of rural land science at home and abroad,the author understands the relevant research status at home and abroad,and expounds the purpose and significance of this paper,At the same time,it defines the related concepts of local geography,curriculum resources and local geography curriculum resources,and scientifically classifies and systematically arranges the local geography curriculum resources in Xingyi City,Guizhou Province.Secondly,taking Xingyi City,Guizhou Province as the research unit,the author selects 40 teachers and 400 students from five junior middle schools in Xingyi City as the survey objects,investigates the students' understanding of geography,the cognition of Xingyi local situation,the attitude and feeling towards local geography teaching,and the teachers' understanding of Xingyi local geography curriculum resources Geography teachers were investigated on the sources of local geography curriculum resources in Xingyi City,the application of local geography curriculum resources by geography teachers,and the difficulties faced by teachers in developing and utilizing local geography curriculum resources.In addition,some geography teachers in five schools were interviewed,It is found that the problems existing in the application of local geography curriculum resources in junior middle school geography teaching in Xingyi City are restricted by examination oriented education,and schools,parents and students do not pay enough attention to geography;Teachers and students have a single way to obtain local geography knowledge,and do not have a thorough understanding of the local situation;Without professional training and guidance,the development and application ability of local geography curriculum resources needs to be improved;Lack of authoritative local geography textbooks,no systematic materials and case guidance;The lack of multi-party cooperation makes the development and application of local geography curriculum resources difficult.Finally,based on the scientific classification and systematic arrangement of the local geography curriculum resources in Xingyi City,Guizhou Province,according to the design principles of nativity,scientificity,subjectivity and practicality,the author completes the process of case application,and integrates the integration framework of the local geography curriculum resources in Xingyi City and the geography teaching content in junior middle school,It also designs cases of the application of local geography curriculum resources in junior middle school geography teaching,learning guidance,after-school practice and so on.Aiming at the problems existing in the application of local geography curriculum resources in junior middle school geography teaching in Xingyi City,Guizhou Province,combined with their own teaching experience,the author consulted excellent teachers,discussed with many colleagues,and put forward corresponding solutions,such as perfecting the current examination system and implementing scientific evaluation;Improve teachers' quality and increase the reserve of local geography knowledge;Enrich the application forms of local geography knowledge and improve the teaching effect;Establish Xingyi local geography practice base and carry out geography practice activities regularly;Organize professional training to enhance teachers' awareness and ability to develop and apply;Unite and cooperate to compile the local geography textbook of Xingyi City;Strengthen regional cooperation and establish local geography curriculum resource database.After the completion of the research,the author
