The Middle Yangtze Urban Agglomeration includes Wuhan Urban Agglomeration, Chang-Zhu-Tan Urban Agglomeration, Poyang Lake Urban Agglomeration, covering Wuhan, C hangsha and Nanchang, including a total of 31 cities. Industry integration is the core of the Middle Yangtze Urban Agglomeration's economic integration. This article uses the industrial structure similarity coefficient, Krugman index, Shift-Share Analysis and location entropy method to investigate the industrial division of the Middle Yangtze Urban Agglomeration. Industry Collaboration results show that the main obstacles to the integration includes four aspects: first, the height of three industrial structure between regions coincide with the mid-point acceleration phase of industrialization; second, the manufacturing division need to be strengthened in order to get rid of low- level cut-throat competition; third, less competitive industrial clusters, failure to fully lead the regional economic development; last, the core of the city and the lower-level city failed to build effective industrial division system. The Middle Yangtze Urban Agglomeration with a high level compared to the developed urban agglomerations. Although it is one of the five largest national urban agglomerations, the level is of de velopment still low in all aspects. In order to achieve the integration of the pattern, we need to make joint efforts in many aspects and this article puts forward policy suggestions: first, we should establish inter-regional interests coordination mechanism to enhance the level of development of urban agglomerations; the second is to build a scientific industry division of labor system so as to optimize the industrial layout; third, we are ought to optimize and upgrade of traditional industries, in order to help build powerful industrial clusters; fourth, we have to promote transportation and other infrastructure development and promote industrial division between cities and towns. Thereby, we can promote coordinated and sustainable development of the Middle Yangtze Urban Agglomeration, into an internationally competitive world-class Urban Agglomeration.
