The report of the 18th national congress explicitly proposed "to speed up in establishing social security system covering both urban and rural residents, everyone will have access to basic life safeguard", land-losing farmers will be incorporated into the social security system, land-lost farmers how to build the social security system will have important research significance.This article uses the literature research and empirical research method, comparison analysis and other research methods, in view of urbanization, landless farmers in detail in this paper, the related concept, system, summarizes the land-lost farmers' social security system in the process of urbanization and land for security as it relates to building theory, social justice theory, sustainable livelihood theory, urbanization theory and other theoretical basis. The size of the land-lost farmers in China, distribution, income level, educational level, and all aspects of the basic social security situation is analyzed; Outlines the land-lost farmers' social security policy in the development of four stages, namely the start, adjust, complete, and the new stage of development, study the land-lost farmers' social security mode of traditional settlement, including monetary resettlement, job placement and resettlement housing, this paper explores the appropriate generation of land-lost farmers' social security mode. Study the farmers' social security in the process of urbanization in our country and what are the existing main problems, combining with the reform of household registration system, land expropriation compensation system consummation, the old and new social security system, reform of government performance standards, such as social security legal system and improve the supporting measures, from the lowest life to ensure, old-age security, medical security, job security, housing security, legal aid and so on six dimensions to build the social security system of the farmers.
