The Problem Sand Countermeasures With Large Growers In Henan Province

Since the founding,great progress has been made in agriculture of our country.In particular,the rapid agricultural development after The Fifth Plenary Session of the Eighteenth CPC Central Committee become eye-catching,because China feeds 22% of the world's population with only 7% of the world's arable land.Moreover,it also amasses considerable wealth for the development of industrialization and the construction of modernization in our country and makes tremendous contribution to stabilizing social order and supporting reform and development.But now,there are also some problems involved in the agricultural development of our country,which includes the decrease of average cultivated farmland,the low-quality of cultivated farmland and the lack of reserve resources of cultivated farmland.The 2015 No.1 Document states that the agricultural development should stay the same operation system,in which household operation acts as the leading mode.However,the large growers,as the direct subjects of agricultural production and operation,are often affected by different forms of risk factors in the production and operation,which will finally exert some influence on the stability and improvement of large growers' income through affecting their output,the scale of agricultural production and devotion of operative factors.The advent of large growers shows striking effects on increasing the crop yields on the foundation of improving original cultivation condition.Since their higher agricultural mechanization level and scientific agricultural cultivation methods can develop better scale-economy benefits.Therefore,to improve the crop yield in Henan province,large growers must be provided with vigorous support.Through the survey on 230 large growers from 59 counties in Henan province,the current situation of large growers in Henan province,the benefits of crop production and the problems in the development are discussed according to the data collected by questionnaires.Based on the related literature,the general information of large growers and their operation behavior are described and analyzed statistically,so as to find the economic benefits brought by large growers with scale operation.And their concept and behavior intention on scale operation of farmland are analyzed empirically.Besides,the significant economic benefits of scale operation for large growers are confirmed by comparing large growers with small farmers at the same period.So the development of large growers should be supported strongly.In overall,the main factors which can influence scale operation are found through the analysis of questionnaire.Accordingly,some advice and policies are raised for further improvement of scale operation.The main conclusions include as follows:(1)At the same period,the agricultural mechanization level,the efficiency of farmland utilization,agricultural economy benefits for large growers in Henan province outperform that for other common farmers.(2)At present,there is a rapid development for the large growers in Henan province,but there are also many factors which can restrain the development.(3)The government acts as the leading role in promoting modernization development of agriculture,but the implementation of policies supporting large growers should be enhanced further.(4)The scale operation for large growers can't run without the relevant support from bank and insurance company.So the s upport from bank and insurance company is the necessary guarantee for the agricultural modernization.
