Research On Function Mechanism Of Social Initiative On Enterprise Opportunity Recognition

Nowadays,China is in a critical period of economic transition,the Chinese government has been sponsoring a shift from labor-intensive to capital,technology and knowledge intensive industries.With the national education level increases,people's capacity for innovation has also been significant progress.Premier Li Keqiang stressed on many occasions the importance of mass entrepreneurship and innovation and put it into government report.The Chinese government wants to cultivate more new ventures and new economic growth points.The key step of entrepreneurial activity is opportunity recognition.What are the influencing factors and impact mechanism of opportunity recognition,it is a problem to be solved.Enterprise opportunity recognition is a hot issue of entrepreneurship research.A moderated mediation model based on the upper echelons theory was constructed to explain the influence mechanism of entrepreneur's social initiative on new venture's opportunity recognition.The survey conducted among 149 entrepreneurs,results show that:(1)entrepreneur's social initiative has significant positive influence on enterprise opportunity recognition.In the process of opportunity recognition,the entrepreneur play a key role and has a profound effect;(2)enterprise social network mediates the influence of social initiative on enterprise opportunity recognition,the entrepreneur affect the enterprise opportunity recognition by helping the enterprise build high quality social network;(3)financing environment moderates not only the influence of enterprise social network on enterprise opportunity recognition,but also the mediating effect of enterprise social network between social initiative and enterprise opportunity recognition.Capital is the key to affect enterprise opportunity recognition,in order to be able to identify opportunities more effective,it is necessary to provide a better financing environment for enterprise.In theory,this study explores the influencing factors of enterprise opportunity recognition.In practice,this study provides theoretical reference for entrepreneurs and government.
