The industry-university-institute collaborative innovation is put forward at Hu Jintao chairman's speech in the Tsinghua University which is to mark its one hundredth founding anniversary.It is the new requirement for universities,institutions and firms to have a better collaboration.As a new concept of "industry-university-institute"cooperation,it requires all of the main innovation body on the premise of integrating and coordinating the target,system,organization,environment to realize resources sharing and maximize the value of innovation.Promoting the "industry-university-institute" collaborative innovation ability has the vital significance to promote the development of emerging industries,therefore this paper selects the photovoltaic industry as research case,with the "industry-university-institute" collaborative innovation as the breakthrough point,under the perspective of social network analysis to explore the "industry-university-institute" collaborative innovation of the photovoltaic industry,and carry on the empirical analysis.Firstly,this paper has carried on the literature review and summary on the photovoltaic industry,the "industry-university-institute" collaborative innovation and social network analysis theory,then with more detailed introduction to the related research results and development situation at home and abroad.Secondly,based on the previous relevant research literature,we make interpretation on the correlation between the "industry-university-institute" collaborative innovation system and social network analysis method,namely with the nodes of social network(patent number)represent the universities,firms and research institutes,and the line of social network(patent references)on behalf of the coupling and transformation relationship between the universities,firms and research institutes.Finally we build the "industry-university-institute" collaborative innovation platform under the perspective of social network analysis.After the sample,data source and retrieving strategy of this paper has determined,we first analyze the general situation of the photovoltaic industry development at home and abroad,including overall development situation analysis,the "industry-university-institute" correlation analysis and the patent map analysis on the core technology;then we make the visualization of network evolution analysis and social network index analysis on the selective research sample,such as density,average distance,degree centricity,structural holes with Ucinet6.0 and Netdraw statistical analysis software to study the empirical research conclusions.The "industry-university-institute"collaborative innovation based on social network analysis has some specific conclusions are as follows:with the development of time,in the field of photovoltaic industry in our country,universities,firms and research institutes in collaborative innovation network system,has gradually into developed the potential innovation capability and universities in the network has a stronger ability and advantage on controlling resource than firms.Compared to developed countries,however,the ability of "industry-university-institute" collaborative innovation,there still exists a big gap,the path to develop the "industry-university-institute" collaborative innovation is still a long way to go.Then on the basis of empirical analysis,we put forward the path designing to implement the "industry-university-institute" collaborative innovation,namely the construction of national "industry-university-institute" collaborative innovation network research institute,which making firms,universities and research institutes in the same research institution,combination the organization coordination,strategic synergy and knowledge together,and then fill the gap between basic research and application of technology industrialization.The innovation point of this thesis is based on social network analysis to have a empirical study on the mechanism of synergy innovation,the above conclusion is not only provides a revelation for other emerging industries in China which from technological catch-up to the forefront,but also provide the basis on policy optimization for related emerging industry.
