Improving the ability of independent innovation and building an innovative country have always been strategic tasks of China.The realization of this great strategy is still unrestrained,though.Industry-university-research cooperation is an important way to achieve this great strategy and to promote the innovation development of China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.With the development of industry-university-research cooperation from the initial peer-to-peer cooperation model to the network cooperation model,more and more scholars have begun to devote themselves to the research on industry-university-research cooperation innovation network.However,the existing research rarely involves the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry,and the research content focuses on the analysis of network structure characteristics,network evolution and motivation analysis.The research on the innovation effect of the network is rather scarce.Based on the objective analysis of the development status and innovation trends of China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry,this paper uses the joint application patent data in the pharmaceutical manufacturing database under the Shanghai Intellectual Property(Patent)Public Service Platform Search System to construct the industry-university-research cooperation innovation network of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in China.Then we use UCINET and R software to measure and analyze the topological structure characteristics of the industry-university-research cooperation innovation network of China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry from three different levels: the whole network,the individual in the network and the internal relationship of the network.In addition,in order to describe the network characteristics more comprehensively and systematically,this paper analyzes spatial characteristics of the industry-university-research cooperation innovation network of China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry from two aspects: cooperative distribution in different spatial extents and distribution of cooperation among different economically developed regions.Finally,this paper empirically explores the impact of the innovation network characteristics on corporate innovation performance through the panel negative binomial regression model.The conclusions are as follows: China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry-university-research cooperation innovation network presents significant stage characteristics;different types of innovation subjects have different positions in China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry-university-research cooperation innovation network.In terms of degree of centrality,that is,the breadth of cooperation,universities have advantages over enterprises and research institutions.In terms of the average number of connections,that is,the depth of cooperation,the advantages of enterprises compared with universities and research institutions are more significant;the innovation network of industry-university-research cooperation in China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is greatly affected by geographical proximity and technology proximity;the network characteristics of the industry-university-research cooperation innovation network of China's pharmaceutical manufacturing industry have a significant impact on corporate innovation performance.Among them,the degree of centrality has a significant positive impact on the innovation performance of enterprises.The average number of connections has a significant U-shaped impact on the innovation performance of enterprises.The structural hole has a significant positive effect on the innovation performance of enterprises.
